On Monday 28th of February the senior volleyball teams competed in the Darebin Division tournament. All three teams worked exceptionally hard in their training sessions prior to the competition and this certainly paid off. The A-boys won all three of their qualifying matches in a convincing 2 sets against Reservoir, Lalor North and Northcote. They absolutely dominated in their final against Thornbury, again taking the match in 2 sets. The B-boys also had a strong performance on the day. Dropping their first game against Reservoir, but coming back for a nail-biting win in their second against William Ruthven. The girls team had an action-packed day with a very busy fixture, winning all 5 of their matches with ease. Their teamwork on the court was impressive and the level of support for each other was commendable. I could not be more proud of all three teams. Lalor is now the biggest threat in our district for volleyball, which is a credit to our fabulously talented students! Canβt wait to see how they all progress in the Northern Metropolitan Regional finals π
