Senior Netball 2023
On Wednesday 10th May, the senior netball teams went out to compete at Narrandjeri Stadium. Both teams performed exceptionally well, demonstrating team work and sportsmanship.
The girls defeated SEDA in their first game (8-7) and also won against Reservoir (14-4). There was a close battle against Thornbury with our girls finishing just behind, before playing in their final. Our girls team finished second overall and should be incredibly proud of their efforts on the day. A huge thank you to Junior for his amazing coaching skills on the day, he was a very positive influence on the court.
The boys won their first game against Northcote (13-11), despite the opposition having a seven-foot goaler. The second game was a close draw against Thornbury (10-10), followed by an epic battle against SEDA. Our boys made it to the final and also finished second overall, fantastic effort! Leroy’s coaching on the day helped the boys excel and his tactics were a great help.
A huge congratulations to both teams! I am incredibly proud of all of our students who attended and look forward to coaching some of them next year.
